It was recently stated, in an recent L.A. Times article, that the homeless population in L.A. has topped 58k people. That is a huge concern. The homeless population has grown significantly in the past 4-5 years and at the same growth rate over the next 4-5 years we will be looking at a serious crisis, not that it isn't already but it is getting visibly worse by day.

Tents are popping up everywhere, people are sleeping on sidewalks in the middle of the day. You can't get very far without someone asking for money. I get it L.A. is warm and dry all year so if you're going to be homeless L.A. is certainly the place but what I'm seeing is something more. I see people just giving up. Sure rents are high and unfair and all that but please by all means don't give up.
By giving up you are losing faith and throwing in the towel. At which point you have nothing but lost souls roaming around like zombies, I think it's time we really rally together as a community, as a city as human beings and resolve this issue now. It is only going to get worse. What are your thoughts?
