While I have always been skeptical about the hype regarding trends especially in the kitchen, I have to say my recent purchase of an instant pot has made me excited to experiment with my favorite recipes and to try new ones! Ever since I became a new mom ten years ago and started “really cooking” and watching the food network, I have been enamored with easy, fast and delicious recipes and well as fancy and pretty cookware and gadgets from Sur La Table and Williams Sonoma. While I own a crock pot, pressure cooker, rice cooker, pots/pans and cast iron skillet, I am excited to say that I have become an instant pot devotee! It all started on the fateful week that I visited my cousin in Oregon and I noticed it in her kitchen. I inquired and she and her cousin swear by it! They gave me a quick preview to this amazing product! Coincidentally and fatefully, the instant pot was going on sale for PRIME DAY! So I inevitably had to buy it!
Let’s just say I have made quite a few recipes for the past month, which have made it easy, space saving, quick and delicious!
Things I have made in the instant pot so far:
Sinigang (filipino soup)
Chicken Adobo (filipino dish)
Frittata
Burrito bowl without tortillas
Spaghetti (with uncooked pasta noodles)
turkey/ vegetarian chili
Heating up rice!
I LOVE THE INSTANT POT! You should get yourself one!!!

Yes the George Foreman is great too! I used to use it a lot for making grilled cheese sandwiches! The thing is when I store it in the cabinets, I forget about it!
