Shannon spoke on past encounters which led to the escalation. I will say it is very enlightening how people view this. It's very interesting. Very spirited debates going on. But I'll end this where I started, "that look." Good night 😴

Um as always, missing the point. Keep my wife's name out your bleep... And then it won't be no escalation. Will said it as best he could 😂
You are attempting to make a point but all the blah blah you stated is moot because if people walked around in love and peace there would be no need to escalate anything.

Interesting debate. Seems like coons and old timers agree that Will acted improperly. Most not connected to the plantation, younger or have their own thought process agree Will acted well within his right. Read the tweets and you decide.

Um I've already addressed those still on the plantation cooning for dollars . Every real siding with me.
Shannon is right in the fact that Chris Rock had the right to slug him back. He also highlighted another point I made that there may be some drama behind the scenes. Skip hit on the point that the joke was a low blow.
However, nothing takes away from the fact that Will had the right to defend his woman.
p.s. I don't recall you ever winning at Monopoly.

Really the main thing Shannon said was what he would have done were he Chris Rock. I agree. And he made points about the Red Table Talk incident. However, Shannon is in no position to justify slaves going off script. If so he would have said he would have done the same thing as Will. He almost went there actually but had to refrain.

Molly Q.
Thank you Molly for making my point. See people, Real women know that look and real men know how to respond to that look.
Also, once you get past your emotions and get your panties out of a bunch you will see this incident will not affect the legacy of Will Smith not in one iota. Now take your usual L's like men and just wait until your next L's arrive.

I do give Molly credit and mad props. Cause defending his actions on a major network where you know everyone is cooning for dollars speaks volumes to her character.

Mental issues, clear lack of control, you're ashamed? I can't take it. Like I've already mentioned, some would deem his actions honorable. Not to mention, he looked in complete control to me.

Yes, he is justified in his actions just like that time he smacked that fan that tried to kiss him.

I don't think Will Smith would react this way if Chris Rock were white and that's a problem. But did you see the look on Jada's face after Rock told his joke? When a woman gives a man "that look" he has to do something. Will had no choice. That look Jada gave sprang him to action. That's the you better defend my honor look. Not the first time Will got this look I'm sure. Also, there could be more to the story than what we know.

People are all caught up in the moment as per usual which means they are all caught up in feelings and emotions. Nothing he did will take away from the body of work which he did. Hitch is still on of the best romcom s of all time. King Richard for which he won the Oscar, well deserved I might add, will forever be a classic. And I Am Legend speaks for itself.
Again, maybe there is something else going on in the background we don't know about and even if there is not can't a man defend his woman? To some I would think what he did would be deemed honorable. I bet Jada was pleased and in the end that's all that matters. 😊.
